Role Description

Were looking for a passionate Full-stack AI Software Engineer to join Aralects on a full-time basis (remote or hybrid). Youll work closely with AI specialists, product designers, and fellow engineers to build and scale a next-generation platform for Arabic learners worldwide. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning features end-to-end—from user-facing interfaces to backend services and AI integrations.

We welcome candidates who are eager to grow their skills and contribute across areas such as: full-stack application development, AI-powered feature integration, backend systems design, frontend UX implementation, data-driven features, and applied use of modern AI models.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack features for AI-powered language learning experiences
• Implement user-facing interfaces and interactive components using modern frontend frameworks
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs that power AI-driven functionality
• Integrate AI and NLP components (e.g., conversational agents, recommendations, speech services) into production systems
• Build and optimize data pipelines and application logic supporting Arabic language processing
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and AI teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Ensure reliability, performance, and security of deployed systems
• Contribute to system architecture decisions and technical roadmap planning
• Write clear documentation and share implementation insights with the team
• (Bonus) Contribute to experimentation, prototyping, or applied research efforts

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience (projects, industry, not academic) in Python programming and JavaScript/TypeScript programming
• 2+ years of experience building backend systems, including API design, database modeling, and service integration
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with Python backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django
• 2+ years of experience with React.js
• Experience integrating AI or ML-powered features into web or mobile applications
• Experience with Docker (or similar) for containerization and deployment
• Good command of Git and collaborative development workflows
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines is a strong plus
• Experience with Arabic NLP, language technology, or similar linguistic AI projects is a plus
• Fluency in Arabic is required as the role involves developing and evaluating Arabic language learning materials and technologies.
• Bachelor or Masters degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, AI, Computational Linguistics, Machine Learning, or a related field
